Protection from Loose Soil or Rocks
- Adequate protection shall be provided to protect employees from loose rock or soil that could pose a hazard by falling or rolling from an excavation face.
- Removal of loose material
- Installation of protective barricades
- Soil piles should remain at least two feet away from the excavations.
