Other Fall Protection Devices
It is highly recommended that these systems be used in conjunction with those previously mentioned. This will help ensure the safety of all employees.
- Controlled Access Zones- Areas in which certain work may take place without the use of guardrails, fall protection, or safety net systems. Access to this area is limited to workers that are doing specific construction jobs.
- Warning Line System - Barriers erected to warn employees that they are approaching an unprotected edge. As long as employees do not cross the warning line, they may work without the use of a guardrail, body belt, harness, or a safety net system.
- Safety Monitoring - A system in which a competent person is responsible for recognizing and warning employees of fall hazards. This person keeps workers away from open edges.
