Scaffold Platform Construction
Securing the planking system is important in order to eliminate displacement. There are several ways of accomplishing this:
- Plank hooks (fabricated scaffold plank)
- Cleating (placing wood block at end)
- Connecting (using screws/nails to connect)
- Overlapping (should always be done over an end frame for support)
- < 10 ft. board length = 6 - 12 inch overlap
- > 10 ft. board length = 12 - 18 inch overlap
